On Jan. 15, more than 250 parents and students showed up on a chilly evening at Meadow Wood Elementary to view the MEGA Heart® inflatable exhibit at the school’s Annual Health Fair and Family Fun Night.
The annual health fair and family fun night provides an opportunity for Meadow Wood families to visit with local health and fitness professionals and learn about area businesses offering smart healthy living options. Among other offerings, participants could buy Chick-fil-A or play Bingo with family and friends. The MEGA Heart®, a Medical Inflatables’ exhibit, claims to be the world’s first portable, walk-through heart exhibit. Medical Inflatables teamed up with Meadow Wood Elementary to make a highly educational, up-close glimpse into the workings of the human heart available to all school fair attendees.
According to The MEGA Heart®, this exhibit increases awareness about heart disease, which is still America’s No. 1 killer. Visitors stepped inside the inflatable human heart, learned about cardiovascular functions, observed examples of types of heart disease, and learned about some of the latest medical treatments for heart problems.
