Odyssey of the Mind Theater Workshop

Odyssey of the Mind will sponsor it's 14th annual Theater Workshop for students on Friday, Oct. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Spring Woods High School. Registration will be held at 5:45 p.m. Workshop cost is $20. Spring Woods High is located at 2045 Gessner.

Student workshop track offerings may include musical theater, spontaneous problem solving, reverse engineering, makeup, team work and games, costumes, communication, improvisation and performance. Odyssey of the Mind, or OM as it is often called, is a creative problem-solving competition that is designed for students from elementary to high school. Team members work together to solve Long Term, or a predefined problem, and then present their solution in competition. In separate Spontaneous problem competition, students generate solutions to a problem that they have not encountered before.

Spring Branch ISD OM teams have won local, regional, state, national and world-level awards during recent years.
