Survey Results and Vote on 2014-15 Academic Calendar

On Monday evening, the SBISD Board of Trustees voted to maintain the week of March 16 – March 20 as Spring Break for the 2014-15 school year. The bad weather make up days for next school year, if needed, have been moved to the end of the school year (June 4 and 5).

 We thank the nearly 7,000 parents and staff who took our Spring Break survey, the results of which helped inform the Board of Trustees. The survey responses indicated that 67.9% of parents/guardians and 64.5% of staff wished to maintain the March 16-March 20 Spring Break as had been approved when the calendar was originally adopted in December, 2012.
