SBEF Announces Co-Chairs of 2014 Gala

Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) will host its second Legacies of Spring Branch Gala on October 25, 2014. Marissa and Duncan Klussmann are proud to serve as co-chairs of the celebration. The event’s theme, Haute Homecoming, is reminiscent of a district-wide reunion of past and present Spring Brand ISD legacies.

The Gala will recognize three individuals who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to support education.

“Duncan and I are privileged to be part of an organization that honors community leaders who make education a priority,” said Marissa Klussmann. “It’s fitting that we’ll be celebrating a homecoming. This is an evening that will bring together former classmates and new friends who work together to build a strong school district.”

As SBISD Superintendent of Schools, Duncan Klussmann is a strong supporter of the Spring Branch Education Foundation. “The funds raised by SBEF, at this event and others, go to projects that enhance education. Every grant and scholarship the Foundation awards gets us closer to our T-2-4 goal of increasing the number of students who graduate from SBISD and pursue technical training, military careers, two-year and four-year degrees.”

The Klussmanns have three children. Cameron graduated from Northbrook High School in 2010 and recently completed his studies at the University of Oklahoma. Will graduated from Stratford High School in May, and Caroline is a sophomore at Spring Woods High School.

In addition to silent and live auctions and dinner, the gala will include a homecoming dance featuring Molly and the Ringwalds.
