HOUSTON FAFSA DAY- FEBRUARY 20

Students completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a key step in continuing education after high school. Help is available!

Los estudiantes que completen la Solicitud Gratuita de Ayuda Federal para Estudiantes (FAFSA) es un paso clave en la educación continua después de la secundaria. La ayuda está disponible!

Spring Branch ISD, Houston ISD and College Community Career are collaborating to increase the FAFSA/TASFA completion rate in the city of Houston. Houston is the 4th largest city in the country and yet we still have a very low financial aid completion rate among our students. Research has shown that if students will complete FAFSA forms, they are 90% more likely to attend the university they have been accepted in the fall.

Join us on Feb. 20 to learn more about the TASFA and FAFSA process and how to best help your child achieve their dream of college or university.

Free Flu Shots - Feb. 1 from 9 AM - 11 AM

The flu virus is still affecting our area and the Spring Branch Community Health Center wants to help.  They are offering free flu shots for children and adults on Saturday, February 1st from 9am-11am at two of their  community health centers locations (while supplies last).

If you are aware of anyone who has yet to receive a flu shot, or may have been prohibited from receiving a flu shot simply due to cost, please direct them to the Pitner location (8575 Pitner Road, 77080) or the West Houston location (19333 Clay Road, 77449) this Saturday only.

It is important to note that the flu shot also protects from the H1N1 Virus. Help spread the word. This is another example of how the Spring Branch Community Health Center is working to build Healthy Families and a Healthy Community!
