Spring Branch ISD students have been leaders in the Future
Farmers of America for more than 50 years. FFA helps students develop potential
for leadership, personal growth and career success. The Spring Branch FFA
chapter includes students from Memorial, Northbrook, Spring Woods and Stratford
high schools, Westchester Academy and the Academy of Choice, as well as junior
members from several district middle schools.
Last year’s event raised more than $250,000, selling steers,
swine, lambs, goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys and non-livestock projects. All
proceeds go to the students except for 10 percent, which helps fund other
educational opportunities and also helps underwrite the Show and Sale.
Purchases and contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law. You can keep
any animal that is purchased (processors are available) or donate the animal
back to the chapter.
