Five Students Win Photo Contest Awards

Five photography students from Stratford High School have earned state-level awards in the fall contest sponsored by the Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI). Eighty-five Texas high schools submitted more than 6,000 entries for the annual competition.

ATPI is a nonprofit organization that provides information, resources and support to teachers and students working with photography in subject areas as varied as art and journalism to industrial technology and vocational curriculum areas.

Stratford High students winning awards in the ATPI Fall Contest include:
  • Alyssa Plant, senior, 2nd Place, Beginning Thematic category for “To the Horizon”
  • Elena McInroe, junior, 3rd Place, Beginning Travel category, “The Wait”
  • Natalie Broussard, senior, Honorable Mention, Advanced Student Life category
  • Grace Broom, freshman, Honorable Mention, Beginning Nature category
  • Ella Gibb, freshman, Honorable Mention, Beginning Informal/Environmental Portrait category
