Minimizing Bus Delays

Due to the current bus driver shortage resulting from flu season illnesses that have kept some drivers at home and open bus driver vacancies for other routes, the SBISD Transportation Department has had to DOUBLE UP some of our routes to and from Spring Branch schools.

We regret this inconvenience, and we ask for your patience as we work through this unplanned situation in the days ahead. When any route is doubled, parents should know that your child's scheduled bus WILL ARRIVE for pick up or drop off, but it MAY BE DELAYED.

It may not arrive at school or the neighborhood bus stop at its regular time. In order to cover all bus routes in the best and most expeditious manner possible, some routes close to a particular campus may be doubled up. This action is taken to keep delays for all involved to a minimum.

If your child's bus is delayed and you still have questions about its arrival time, please call SBISD Dispatch at 713-251-1060. We appreciate your help in this situation.

In addition, if you know of a person who would like to drive a bus full or part time for Spring Branch, please have them contact our Transportation Department, which is at the same number: 713-251-1060. SBISD has many vacancies at this time for bus drivers.
