Librarians of greater Houston, in conjunction with Spring Branch ISD and Blue Willow Bookshop, present the Bookworm Festival for emerging readers and their parents on Saturday, February 8, 2014.
The goal of this festival is to connect emerging readers with authors fostering a passion for reading.
The keynote speaker will be Judith Viorst, author of the beloved "ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD VERY BAD DAY", and the new "LULU" series of early chapter books.
Viorst will be joined by the following authors: Bob Shea, Gwyndolyn Zepeda, Adam Rubin, Daniel Salmieri and Harper Paris.

Festival Hours: 9:30 – 11:30am. Doors will open at 9:15am.

I think this is a great opportunity for children to interact with authors and learn about their writings. Events like this encourage kids to love reading and become better readers.
