Artist Set to Transform AYAM and Inspire Students

AYAM Transformed!!

Don't miss the opportunity to stop by in the next week or two and see the amazing changes taking place at AYAM. Beginning Monday, June 9th, renown muralist, Daniel Anguilu, is set to create a large mural for the facade of AYAM and transform it into a work of art expressing the collection inside. He will be assisted by SBISD high school art, photography and journalism students.  Click here to see photos from the project >>

Daniel Anguilu's style is deeply inspired by his Mexican heritage, manifesting itself in large scale, murals. Daniel's recent projects include the Glassell School Mural (2013), Famous Monsters at Lawndale Art Center (2012), group exhibition at The Station Museum (2012), exhibits at Cardoza Fine Art (2012), the Orange Show (2011) and Mexican Consulate of Houston (2007).

The public is invited to watch students and artist work each morning.
Visit the AYAM website for more details and location information.
