In
recent weeks, Superintendent of Schools, Duncan Klussmann, Ed.D., conducted
several meetings to inform our community about the detrimental impact of the
state’s school finance model on Spring Branch ISD and to share his concerns
about the district’s ability to remain competitive for the future. He also
sought feedback from the community about its expectations for SBISD in the
years ahead.
Based
on the feedback received from these meetings, the SBISD Board of Trustees has
authorized the formation of an SBISD Financial Advisory Committee. This
committee, comprised of parents and community members, will hold three meetings
in the weeks ahead.
The
Committee is charged with developing recommendations to the SBISD Board of
Trustees to assure the district is able to continue to meet the community’s
high expectations for our schools, students and educators.
