Spring Branch ISD Announces New Memorial Middle School Principal

Spring Branch ISD is pleased to name Ellen Green as the new campus principal at Memorial Middle School.

Principal Green has served 24 years in public education, including 18 years in Spring Branch ISD. She joined SBISD in 1999 after working as an inclusion specialist and special education/resource teacher in Pecos-Barstow-Toyah and Northside ISDs.

In SBISD, Principal Green has worked as a Lifeskills teacher, an elementary and secondary diagnostic teacher, and as a campus instructional specialist. She has worked as an assistant principal at Memorial High School and, most recently, served for several years as the principal at Frostwood Elementary.

She earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She also holds a master of education degree, diagnostician from the University of St. Thomas, and principal certification, also from the University of St. Thomas.

“As an assistant principal at Memorial High School, I was always amazed at the caliber of students sent to us by Memorial Middle School,” Principal Green said. “At Frostwood Elementary, I was determined to send well prepared students to Memorial Middle School. Now, finally at Memorial Middle School, I’m so excited to see ‘how the sausage is made,’ and be a part of all the great things going on in this exceptional school!”

Principal Green replaces former principal Daniel Bauer, who resigned to pursue new professional and personal opportunities.
