Spring Branch ISD is pleased to announce Raymorris Barnes as the new principal at Spring Forest Middle School.
Principal Barnes has served 13 years in public education, including seven years in SBISD. He began his career as a middle school teacher and coach in Pearland ISD, then moved to high school level teaching and coaching there.
In 2011, he joined SBISD as an assistant principal at Northbrook High School, where he served five years. Most recently, Principal Barnes served in the district Academic Performance and Support division as a school support leader.
A Rice University graduate, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and the Master of Arts degree in Teaching.
“As the new principal of Spring Forest Middle School, it is an honor and privilege to serve the students, faculty and parents of this wonderful community, and I do look forward to personally meeting with each and every one of you,” Principal Barnes said recently. “I could not ask for a better place to serve children and families than right here, and I am confident that my career experiences have also prepared me to lead Spring Forest Middle School to the next level of excellence all our students need.”
Principal Barnes replaces Kaye Williams, who has resigned to accept a leadership position elsewhere.
