Spring Woods High Safari Players Start New Season

The Spring Woods High Safari Players have announced theater and ComedySportz High School League performances for the 2017-2018 school year.

ComedySportz High School League student matches will begin Friday, Oct. 27, with student matches planned through May 2018. This Fall’s schedule:

Oct. 27, “Tiger Spirit” – Spring Woods High vs. Cy Woods High School
Any Spring Woods High T-shirt and ID results in a free admission!

Nov. 1, “Dia de los Muertos” – Spring Woods High vs. St. Agnes and Houston Christian area high schools
Costume or skulls and ID results in a free admission!

Nov. 30, “Tiger Community” – Spring Woods High vs. Cy Ranch and Westside high schools
Donation of 2 non-perishable items for holiday food basket and ID results in a free admission!

In early November, Spring Woods High Thespian Troupe 127 will perform an abridged version of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. Performances will be held in the Spring Woods High School auditorium. The high school is located at 2045 Gessner Road.

Scheduled performance dates and times for The Taming of the Shrew:

• Nov. 9, 7:30 p.m.
• Nov. 11, 2:30 p.m. Matinee
• Nov. 11, 7:30 p.m.
• Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m.

Individual events for the State Thespian Festival will be performed during shows. Adult tickets are $10; student tickets are $5.
