The 35th annual Spring Branch FFA Livestock Project Show & Sale will be conducted from Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 7-9, at the school district Agricultural Science Farm, 1905 Brittmoore Road.
FFA students present their projects as part of a popular agricultural science program offered by Spring Branch ISD’s Guthrie Center. Student-raised livestock shown includes rabbits, chickens, goats, lambs, pigs, heifers and steers. Students sponsor and raise these animals for competition.
In addition, non-livestock items entered into annual competition include horticulture, food and two-dimensional art. Non-competitive show projects include scrapbook, agricultural science or floral design projects.
The Livestock Show’s opening is 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, with check-in activities for student livestock and non-livestock entries. Events will be held all day Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7-8. Activities will conclude with Saturday’s 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Silent Auction, which is followed by a 1 p.m. Livestock Show & Sale Auction.
Auction proceeds benefit the Spring Branch FFA Scholarship Fund. Proceeds from the Livestock Sale go directly to the FFA students who sponsored, raised and displayed their animals.
