Rotary Club Collecting Books for SBISD PreK Students through May 1

Help the Memorial-Spring Branch Rotary Club reach PreK Students this summer with the gift of reading.

The Memorial-Spring Branch Rotary Club is currently collecting books for early childhood education students in SBISD, with the goal of delivering a new or gently used book to each of the 288 students at the Bear Boulevard PreK Center. The delivery will be expanded to other SBISD PreK centers as more books are collected.

If you would like to support this effort and promote reading as a summer activity for our students, you can drop off a new or gently used book to one of the donation centered listed below. Donations will be accepted through May 1.
  • Kroger at I-10 and Blalock/Echo
  • Kroger at Gessner and Hammerly
  • Keller Williams, 950 Corbindale
Rotary members will deliver books on Friday, May 5, to student recipients, and will participate in campus reading activities.

Thank you to the Memorial-Spring Branch Rotary Club for supporting literacy, early childhood education and #everyChild in SBISD.

For more information, please contact President Ed Wilson at 713-302-9771.
