Each summer, Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) offers a Gifted and Talented (GT) evaluation process for students newly enrolling in the school district. To qualify for this screening session, students must have been identified for gifted services in their previous educational environment or come from a school with no gifted services (private, homeschool, international, etc.).
This evaluation process is designed to determine if students entering 1st through 12th grade need the special educational services provided through the SBISD GT Program.

The registration deadline for this process is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
For students who were identified as GT in their previous districts, parents should contact the Advanced Academic Studies Department about providing documentation for review before the Aug. 2 deadline. Qualifying data and programs differ by school district.
To register, parents must complete the Summer 2016 Gifted and Talented Evaluation packet and submit it to the Advanced Academic Studies Department. Packets may be mailed, emailed to or dropped off. Contact information is provided in the packet. Advanced Academic Studies may be reached directly at 713-251-1901.
