Spring Branch ISD Announces New Frostwood Elementary Principal

Spring Branch ISD is pleased to name Pamela Pennington as the new principal at Frostwood Elementary.

Principal Pennington has worked 31 years in public education, including 20 years in Spring Branch ISD. She joined SBISD in 1997 after working as a teacher, special education instructor and an educational diagnostician in Houston and Aldine ISDs. In SBISD, she has worked as a resource teacher and educational diagnostician, and as an instructional specialist.

She was assistant principal at Bunker Hill Elementary for four years, and served as principal at Woodview Elementary for the past three years.

She earned her bachelor of science degree in elementary education and special education from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and a master of science in educational psychology from the University of Houston. She earned a principal certification through the principal leadership program at the University of St. Thomas.

“I believe in high expectations with a loving and kind approach to all that I do. I embrace SBISD’s core values and weigh the needs of every child in every decision I make. I am thrilled to be leading Frostwood and am already impressed with the incredible dedication of the staff and families I will be working with,” Principal Pennington said.

Principal Pennington replaces Ellen Green, who has been named the new campus leader at Memorial Middle School.
