Cold and flu season are here. Stopping the flu is up to you. Free flu vaccine is still available for children while supplies last at the Spring Branch Community Health Center on Hillendahl Boulevard. For general flu- and cold-related questions, visit the school district's Health Services website or Texas Department of State Health Services online resources.
The most flu illnesses in Texas usually occur in January and February, but flu is unpredictable and can occur at any time.
Everyone 6 months and older should get vaccinated. For those interested in free local vaccinations for children while supplies last, here is the Spring Branch Community Health Center's basic contact information.
